How to use CBD to help with anxiety

Everyone has likely experienced anxiety at some point in their life. In fact, anxiety is the number one most common mental health disorder. The fast-paced world we live in can cause stress, worry, sleeping problems and many other symptoms of anxiety.

Adding Niota CBD pre-rolls to your daily routine may help relieve these symptoms, so you can focus on your mental health and wellbeing. Many studies have shown that using CBD can reduce symptoms of anxiety.

For example, a 2019 study of 57 adult males found that 300-600 mg of CBD significantly reduced symptoms of anxiety. The effects of orally administered CBD – edibles, tinctures, oils, etc. — take anywhere for 30 minutes to 2 hours to “kick in.” Smoking or vaping CBD typically provides immediate relief of anxiety symptoms.

Research has shown that CBD has a calming effect on the brain; this is because CBD contains phyto (plant) chemicals called cannabinoids, which are described as “feel-good” molecules naturally produced by the body when we are feeling relaxed or involved in any happy situation (like hugging someone or being excited about something).

These effects can promote feelings of relaxation, balance and calm – all of which may help relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression and other forms of mental illness.

In a 2015 review, CBD was established as an effective treatment for generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and social anxiety disorder. This could be due to the fact that CBD interacts with receptors in the brain that regulate fear and anxiety-induced behaviors.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) do not regulate CBD for treating anxiety or other mental health conditions. People should use their best judgment when purchasing CBD products and only buy from reputable distributors. We always recommend speaking to your doctor about using CBD, especially if you’re taking other medications.
